There is also a Spirit Gate symbol in play which can appear on any of the five reels. A Crypt logo serves as a scatter, and there are four different wilds. These are: a set of ritual knives, a Nightshade plan, candles and a skull with metal spikes protruding from the cranium. Symbols on the reels include blood-red versions of the playing card ranks of 10, J, Q, K and A, as well as four ritual relic symbols.
Two stone guardians flank the reels, and the game interface appears at the foot of the screen, framed in wrought iron.
It is set against a backdrop showing the entrance to a gothic-looking crypt. This one features music from a band called The Crypt, as well as many of the band's visual and stylistic elements. Now the company has released a sequel to that game called House of Doom 2: The Crypt. That was a game based on the music and aesthetics of Candlemass, a doom metal band from Sweden.
